We encourage all children from our club born in the years 2017\u20132008 to participate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>V Krak\u00f3w Cup in Taekwon-do<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Date:<\/strong> 13 May 2023 (Saturday)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Venue:<\/strong> KS Orze\u0142 Sports Hall, Krak\u00f3w, ul. Competitors compete by attempting to clear successive heights. Competitors have two attempts to hit the target at each height.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Children may perform the technique from the ground, and neither the striking surface nor the point of contact with the paddle is judged. Older competitors kick while jumping, hitting the paddle from below with the ap kumchi surface, and then land without any part of the body other than the feet touching the ground.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In the event of a tie<\/strong> the competitor who cleared the last height on the first attempt wins, while the other competitors did so on the second attempt. Earlier rounds are then checked until the previous criterion is met. If there is still no decision, the shorter competitor wins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Speed kicks<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event consists of performing the greatest number of kicks within the allotted time. Competitors compete against one another in a single round.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Children perform ap chagi kicks for 15 seconds, alternating the left and right leg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Juniors perform dollyo chagi kicks for 15 seconds, first with one leg and then with the other.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Children use the Zemita system, and the target height depends on the year of birth:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<table class=\"wp-block-table\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Year of birth<\/strong><strong>Height<\/strong><\/td><td>2017 &#8211; 60 cm<\/td><td>2016 &#8211; 65 cm<\/td><td>2015 &#8211; 70 cm<\/td><td>2014 &#8211; 75 cm<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Juniors use the Zemita system, and the target height depends on the height category:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<table class=\"wp-block-table\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Category<\/strong><br><strong>Height<\/strong><\/td><td>\u2212140 cm <br>80 cm<\/td><td>\u2212145 cm<br>85 cm<\/td><td>\u2212150 cm<br>90 cm<\/td><td>\u2212155 cm<br>95 cm<\/td><td>+155 cm<br>100 cm<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regardless of age group, between successful kicks the foot must touch the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For juniors, only techniques performed with a circular motion and with the foot extended are counted.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In the event of a tie<\/strong> there is a tiebreaker, followed by victory for the competitor with the better technique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Soft-stick<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event consists of defeating an opponent on points in a fight with a foam stick. The fight is stopped after each strike for which points may be awarded.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<table class=\"wp-block-table\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Scoring<\/strong><\/td><td>Entire head area \u2013 2 pointsOther parts of the body except the hands \u2013 1 point<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Permitted techniques<\/strong><\/td><td>Strikes in all planes that do not cause the stick to be dropped \u2013 also thrusts and strikes after turning<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the difference reaches 10 points during the fight, the bout ends due to technical superiority.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bout duration<\/strong> is 1 round \u00d7 1.5 min, with a 45-second tiebreaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In the event of a tie<\/strong> there is a tiebreaker, followed by fighting until the first winning action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Patterns<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event consists of defeating an opponent by presenting the pattern better. Competitors perform a traditional formal pattern in pairs, selected by the referee.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The highest pattern that may be proposed is the one required for the rank immediately below the lower of the two ranks held by the competing pair, but within the range from Chon-Ji Tul to Choong-Moo Tul.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the category concerns competitors below yellow belt, the following half-patterns may also be selected: Saju Jirugi (always) and Saju Makgi (when the lower rank is at least a yellow stripe).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The referees decide the winner by pointing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To win the bout, a competitor must receive a majority of the votes.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In the event of a tie<\/strong> there is a tiebreaker requiring the winner to be indicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Semi-contact<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event consists of defeating an opponent on points in a fight using hands and feet.
