New Dan grades in KCT!
New Dan grades in KCT!
Four KCT athletes were promoted to new Dan grades.
We have gained six Małe Smoki instructors. Training sessions were held for the youth, cadet, junior and senior squads. They perfected their skills in sparring ahead of the most important ZS PUT event of this half-year, the Polish Open Cup in Opole.
Saturday, 7 November, was a very busy day at Krakowskie Centrum Taekwon-do. Early that morning, a Małe Smoki instructor course took place, attended by 6 experienced athletes. After the course, training for the youth and cadet squads in semi-contact was held. Later, the junior and senior squads practised light-contact sparring.
The day culminated in an examination for Dan grades. Under the watchful eye of coach Mikołaj Kotowicz, five people from Krakowskie Centrum Taekwon-do took the examination. Three people attempted promotion to I Dan. Jan Gorazda and Oskar Nowak successfully passed the examination. Unfortunately, Bartosz Jachimczak was unable to pass the examination.
Jakub Włodarz and Karolina Nowak received promotion to II Dan. The examination lasted three hours. All candidates demonstrated a high technical level. During the examination, they presented formal patterns, step sparring, traditional sparring and self-defence. The next parts of the examination were board breaking and theory. Each examined athlete had to complete the following breaks: twimyo yop chagi 180 by one person, twimyo bandae dollyo chagi, anuro sonkal terigi, tora yop chagi, dollyo chagi.
Congratulations on passing the examination, and we wish you further success.
