Winter madness at the family holiday in Korbielów

We are visiting Korbielów for the second time, but it was in winter that it truly stole our hearts. Ideal weather conditions, a slope 2 minutes from the hotel and no queues for the lifts. It is also worth adding that at the foot of Pilsko begins the 2nd longest ski run in Poland. It could not have been better!

Every day we enjoyed the winter weather, and the mornings were devoted to madness on the slope. Interested children and young people had 2-hour classes with ski instructors every day. There were 3 groups, so everyone could find a level suitable for them and make full use of this time to hone their skiing skills. The other participants skied independently under the supervision of KCT instructors.

After lunch, taekwondo training sessions were held separately for children, young people and adults. The greatest “attraction” of the training sessions was Jael Origlio, 2nd dan, who came to us straight from Argentina to lead training sessions for our students. Despite the language barrier, the classes were very popular among the trainees. Sometimes after lunch we went to the slope again—it would have been a shame not to make use of such good conditions—and then training sessions for the older camp participants and adults were held after dinner. Additionally, the youngest participants had daily swimming-pool activities and art classes, during which they painted, among other things, pictures on canvas (some of them were worth millions ;)), as well as making board games and table football games by hand. These activities took place in a continuous 3-hour block, giving parents time for themselves.

On the last day, there was a barbecue dinner with a highlander band performing in the background. Apart from delicious food straight from the campfire, the members of the band made sure to put us in a good mood. There were sing-alongs, as well as activities and games for the youngest participants. However, the greatest excitement was caused by a competition involving hammering in a nail. As you might expect, it did not take long for the men to get involved—even Mikołaj himself, the coach of all coaches, entered the contest. The women did not give way to the men and also joined the competition. The men mostly relied on strength, while the women relied on tactics. Stefania emerged triumphant, receiving a record with music by our guests as a prize.

We will probably meet in Korbielów again next year, thanks to our participants, who came up with the proposal themselves. If you have not been there yet, we warmly invite you next year. See you!
