In Murzasichle, we couldn’t dig ourselves out of the snow!

This year, we once again travelled to this place with its captivating views. The slope, which some participants visited every day, was only a 10-minute drive from our U Zbójnika centre. The group spent their time training and enjoying additional activities. We worked with Jael Origlio from Argentina, who looked after the children and led training sessions.

The younger children had two training sessions a day, while the older group had as many as three! The training sessions were led by coaches Mikołaj Kotowicz, Dariusz Pazdan and Jael Origlio. The training programme included lots of sparring, kicks and plenty of gymnastics. There was also time for games—especially for our youngest campers. Jael paid particular attention to stretching.

Jael Origlio from Argentina joined our coaching staff. She is the current bronze medallist at the ITF Union Taekwon-do World Championships and a competitor from our friendly club Grupo Escorpio from Buenos Aires. Jael led training sessions for both the younger and older groups every day. Our participants were delighted to take part in training conducted in another language and to test themselves under the guidance of a different coach.

Every morning, six camp participants travelled by Ski Bus to the “Hajduk” slope under the care of coach Nikola. The children also took part in classes organised by the ski school, developing their skills in skiing and snowboarding. After five days of continuous learning, their abilities improved immensely, and the youngest girls even received certificates for such brave participation in classes with the instructor! It was a good thing that there was a mountain inn at the slope, where the children could rest for a while, eat and have something warm to drink after their snowy adventures.

There was no shortage of additional attractions! The group went ice skating twice at the “Hajduk” Ski Station. The second time, several people decided to ride on inflatable tubes—a kind of activity known as snowtubing. It turned out to be a hit; the children did not want to leave! We also managed to visit Termy Zakopiańskie, and despite the low temperatures, many dared to go outside into the hot pools. Of course, games and integration activities, Just Dance, films and a mini disco were organised at the centre! On the last evening, a highlander came to visit us with oscypek cheese, which the children could buy and take home :) And, of course, eat!
