Summer Sports Camp is intended for active children who train taekwon-do or would like to begin training. The programme includes comprehensive physical development based on such disciplines as football, volleyball, basketball, climbing, archery, badminton, self-defence, go-karts, as well as daily taekwon-do training concluding with an exam at the end of the camp (up to 8th kup – yellow belt). This is an ideal trip for younger children, including those going to camp for the first time.

Where will we be?

Borek – a village in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in Bochnia County. It is located approximately 50 km from Kraków.

The “Borek” Active Recreation Centre is a fantastic complex consisting of a hotel building, cottages, a restaurant, two multipurpose rooms, a gigantic playground, its own swimming area, a go-kart track, a ropes course and a range of sports fields.

Participants:

independent children and young people aged 6–13, both KCT members training taekwon-do and non-training children from outside the club.

Camp price: PLN 1,950

Included in the camp price:

  • coach transport,
  • accommodation in four-person rooms (shared bathrooms),
  • meals (4 per day),
  • a rich programme of sports activities,
  • daily taekwon-do training
  • care from educators and instructors, insurance.

Camp programme:

  • go-kart track activities,
  • archery activities,
  • Tyrolean traverse,
  • climbing wall,
  • ropes course,
  • use of a supervised swimming area,
  • theme park – “Land of Salt Rocks”,
  • kayaking ABCs,
  • discos, competitions, karaoke,
  • campfire,
  • team sports,
  • individual sports,
  • taekwon-do training.

Exam:

At the end of the stay, an exam for taekwon-do student grades up to and including 8th kup (yellow belt) will be organised for those interested. It is subject to an additional fee of PLN 100 per grade.

Participation requirements:

  • Payment of a PLN 500 deposit per person to the account or in cash by 30.03.2024.
  • Payment of the remaining PLN 1,450 by 16.06.2024.
  • Submission of the completed Qualification Form by 16.06.2024.
  • If a ban on organising tourist events is introduced or the hotel facility is closed, the entire amount of deposits and payments will be refunded.
  • In the event of withdrawal from participation for personal, health or any other reasons attributable to the participant before 16.06.2024, the participant/parent shall pay a contractual penalty equal to the deposit due for participation.
  • In the event of withdrawal on 16.06.2024 or later, the participant/parent shall bear the actual cost of the reserved and unused services, but not less than an amount equal to the participation deposit.

The payment reference must include the participants’ first names and surnames, with “Borek” added.

Invoices:

  • To receive an invoice, payment must be made by bank transfer or voucher.
  • Invoices are issued within 7 days of the end of the camp.

Accommodation:

Departure and return:

Meeting on Sunday, 18.08.2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Primary School No. 149, ul. Bujaka 15.

Return on Saturday, 24.08.2024 at approximately 10:00 a.m. to the same place.

What to bring:

  • everyday clothes,
  • sportswear (dobok, tracksuit, shorts),
  • sports and everyday footwear,
  • backpack for excursions, cap,
  • towels, flip-flops, toiletry bag,
  • swimwear,
  • watch with an alarm function.

Mobile phones:

They are prohibited. Parents or guardians may contact the children by calling the instructors’ phones, preferably during mealtimes.

Pocket money:

PLN 10 per day is entirely sufficient. If you would like to leave some money in deposit with the educator, please hand it over in small banknotes in a sealed and signed envelope. At the end of the camp, there will be an exam for student grades, costing PLN 100 per grade.
