Sports Day Camp in Nowa Huta – Report from the 2026 Winter Holidays

Sports Day Camp in Nowa Huta – Report from the 2026 Winter Holidays

The winter holidays in Nowa Huta were filled with fun and a variety of attractions. On 2–6 February 2026, participants of the sports day camp could look forward to new challenges, trips and a solid dose of physical activity every day. The camp was supervised by coaches Michał and Darek.  Check out what interesting things happened at the Dojang!

Day I of the camp – starting with a bang

We started the day camp in Nowa Huta with a truly strong opening! On the first day, we visited GoJump – a huge trampoline and attractions park, where there was not a moment for boredom.

The children jumped on various trampolines, tackled the ninja course, rode on inflatable tubes, balanced on balance beams and used the zip line. There was no shortage of excitement and laughter, and everyone was bursting with energy – so much so that it was difficult to tell who was having more fun: the children or the coaches.

One thing is certain – this place always delivers, which is why we return there every year.

Day II of the camp – a history lesson underground

The second day of the camp was completely different, but equally interesting. This time, we visited the shelter in Nowa Huta. Beneath the historic buildings of the Steelworks Administrative Centre, we descended into authentic shelters from the time of the Cold War, preserved in an almost unchanged state.

The children had the opportunity to see, among other things, the command room and telephone exchange as well as original exhibits from the 1950s–1970s. Walking through the dark corridors was not only exciting, but also highly educational – it was a true lesson in living history.

To maintain a balance between sightseeing and physical activity, after the trip it was time for training at the Dojang.

Day III of the camp – sports competition and integration

On the third day, it was time for another dose of sporting attractions. After the camp from Kurdwanów had taken over the Central Hall the previous day, this time the Nowa Huta team took over the venue.

The children could enjoy bowling, cyber hockey and simulators, which provided plenty of excitement and healthy competition. After returning to the Dojang, it was time to relax – board games, integration and playing together, and we ended the day, of course, with training.

Day IV of the camp – water madness

Thursday was all about water and fun. We went to the water park, where slides, pools and loads of fun awaited us.

There was plenty of laughter, splashing and activity in the water – the perfect way to release energy and have a great time with peers.

Day V of the camp – the finale at the cinema

The week ended with a trip to the cinema to see “Fast and Agile”. The screening was an ideal conclusion to an active week. There was also time for the playground, where the children could enjoy the snow and playing together outdoors.

Thank you to all the children for taking part, and to the parents for their trust and support. We are happy that we could spend the holiday week together. For more photos, visit the CAMP TKD. website.
