Erasmus+ – KCT Coaches in Ireland
The next stop of the Erasmus+ programme was Ireland, where our club was proudly represented by coaches: Dariusz Pazdan, Valerii Boiko, senior Michał Krupa and junior Michał Krupa. The trip lasted from 31 January to 6 February 2026.
Exploring Dublin – history and culture
The coaches landed in Dublin on Monday morning and immediately began exploring the city. Among other places, they visited:
- Temple Bar – Dublin’s vibrant central district,
- the historic Kilmainham Gaol,
- Phoenix Park,
- St Patrick’s Cathedral,
- Trinity College
- Dublin Castle.
They ended the day with a visit to a restaurant and Conor McGregor’s famous pub, taking in the atmosphere of the city and Irish culture.
A visit to the Guinness factory and a journey to Athlone
The next item on the programme was a visit to the Guinness factory, followed by a journey to Athlone, where the sporting part of the trip began. The coaches had the opportunity to see the daily work of clubs in Ireland and establish contact with local instructors.
Practices at sports clubs
After checking in, the coaches visited a club run by Mary Mannion, where they observed training sessions for children, including children with special educational needs. They also had the opportunity to take part in a skyboxing session, gaining practical experience in new training methods.
The next stop was the Cathala Fegana in Nerwy club, where the coaches could both observe and actively participate in training sessions, learning about various approaches to conducting training.
Training, inspiration and new experiences
The trip to Ireland was a combination of work, learning, passion and fun. Our coaches had the opportunity to observe a variety of training methods, participate in sessions with children, teenagers and adults, and test new techniques that will certainly enrich our training programmes.
In addition to daily training, the trip also provided many positive experiences, allowing the coaches to learn about the culture, the atmosphere of the clubs and the passion for taekwon-do in Ireland.
