KCT Athletes Are Polish Kickboxing Champions!

From 17 to 19 April, our athletes competed in Będzin during the Polish Kickboxing Championships in the Light Contact formula. The competition took place at the “Będzin Arena” sports hall and brought together the best athletes from across the country.

The Polish Kickboxing Championships in the Light Contact formula brought together cadets, juniors, seniors and veterans in one place – all united by one shared passion and the desire to fight for a place on the podium. 671 athletes from 106 clubs across Poland entered the competition – the competition was enormous!

Our athletes from Krakowskie Centrum Taekwondo went to Będzin with a clear goal – to face the best and show what they could do. And they did not disappoint!

Amelia Szczypczyk – Polish Champion

The biggest surprise of the competition was Amelia Szczypczyk. In the first round, she confidently defeated her opponent, showing solid technique and good preparation. The second bout also ended in her victory, although her opponents were becoming increasingly stronger.

In the semifinal, the fight was even, and every action could tip the balance of victory. Amelia had to show all her skills to advance to the final.

The final in the women’s junior -60 kg category was an exciting contest. For most of the fight, the result was uncertain. It seemed that the gold medal might go to someone else. But Amelia did not give up – in the final action, in the closing seconds of the bout, she turned the tide and claimed the title of Polish Champion. Well done, Amelia!

Michał Klimek – Polish Champion

Michał Klimek showed his class in the -57 kg category. It was his experience and composure in decisive moments that gave him the advantage over his opponents.

Michał returns to Kraków as Polish Champion – a title he worked towards through many months of training and preparation.

Szymon Grzebyk with a silver medal

Szymon Grzebyk stood on the podium with a silver medal in the -84 kg category. In his weight category, he faced very strong opponents. Every fight required full concentration/ Although he lost in the final, his performance throughout the competition deserves recognition – he showed that he belongs among the leaders of Polish kickboxing in his category!

Bronze for Grzegorz Pajda

Grzegorz Pajda finished the competition with a bronze medal in the senior -63 kg category. In such a strongly contested competition, every medal is a tremendous success.

A Brave Fight Without Medals

Not everyone returned with medals, but everyone gave it their all. Krzysztof Jaworski, Maciej Kowalski, Jakub Lenard and Stefania Kotowicz competed against the best athletes in the country. Wearing the new club uniforms, they looked great and proudly represented the colors of Krakowskie Centrum Taekwondo. Every fight was valuable experience that will pay off in the future.

Thank you to everyone who cheered for our athletes and kept their fingers crossed for us! Your support gave us strength throughout the entire weekend.

Four medals – including two gold, one silver and one bronze. We are incredibly proud of our students. Hard work in training brings results.
