Report on the first session of the KCT day camp in Łagiewniki – summer 2026
On 6–10 July 2026 at Primary School No. 56 at 65–71 Fredry Street in Krakow, the Krakowskie Centrum Taekwon-do day camp took place. Children aged 6 to 13 took part in the sports day camp – both KCT club members and participants taking their first steps on the mat. The rich programme combined Taekwon-do training, trips, creative workshops and plenty of outdoor activities.
Day I: A brick-filled whirlwind at Bricks & Figs and back on the mat
Who said Mondays have to be boring? Our day-camp group began the week with a visit to Krakow’s Bricks & Figs. The children had the opportunity to see with their own eyes one of the largest collections of LEGO minifigures in the world, as well as impressive, gigantic models. From iconic Star Wars sets to the magical Harry Potter universe, the diversity and scale of the exhibition made a huge impression on everyone. After returning to our base at Fredry Street, having a nutritious lunch and taking a moment to rest, we entered the gym with full energy to begin the session with our first technical taekwon-do training.
Day II: Sweet craftsmanship at the Living Chocolate Museum
On Tuesday, we visited the Living Chocolate Museum in Krakow, where the children took part in professional craft workshops under the guidance of an experienced chocolatier. The children learned the secrets of how this delicacy is made and then took on the roles of master confectioners themselves. Each participant poured their own chocolate bar from liquid chocolate, decorated it with selected toppings and wrapped it elegantly. The handmade creations were meant to make it home, although in many cases they disappeared suspiciously quickly on the way back.
Day III: The secrets of uniformed service and a safety lesson
Wednesday’s programme combined excitement with an important educational element. Our group visited a police station. The children took a close look at the officers’ daily service and were able to see patrol cars and specialist equipment used in their everyday work. The meeting was also a good opportunity to talk about safety rules during summer holidays, moving around on the roads and responsible behaviour in emergency situations.
Day IV: High flights and acrobatics at GO JUMP / GO TRIX
The fourth day brought an absolute explosion of energy at Krakow’s GO JUMP / GO TRIX trampoline park. The participants had a whole range of attractions at their disposal: from dynamic jumps on sports trampolines, through landing in pools filled with soft foam blocks, to tackling obstacle courses. It was an excellent opportunity to develop coordination, courage and fitness.
Day V: Cinematic excitement, team games and the final training session
The final day of the session offered a balanced combination of relaxation and physical activity. The morning was spent in a cool cinema auditorium watching a film together. After returning to the school, a Taekwon-do training session was held.
We encourage you to follow the CAMP TKD page, where you will find all the photos from the day camp. Thank you to the parents for their trust and to the children for taking part and bringing their positive energy.
See you at the winter day camp!
