Check out what happened at the summer sports camp in Borek!
On 12–18 July 2026, a 7-day Summer Sports Camp took place at the Active Recreation Centre in Borek. The trip was attended by children aged 6–12 – both those who train in taekwon-do every day and those who went to camp for the first time.
Day I: Arrival, welcome and the first barbecue
After arriving at the centre, the children were welcomed by a traditional Sunday lunch – broth and a cutlet with fries. After the meal, the participants settled into their rooms and went to explore the entire complex. The playground and the local animals immediately attracted the greatest interest. During the organisational meeting, we discussed the camp rules, and each child received a welcome gift: a drawstring backpack and a water bottle. We ended the day with a barbecue together outdoors and an evening film screening.
Day II: Training, kayaking and an archery tournament
We began Monday with morning taekwon-do training in groups. Then the children played in the inflatable attractions area and the kids arena. After lunch, the groups of coaches Zosia and Oliwia and coaches Grzegorz and Valeri went kayaking, and the bravest jumped into the water. Meanwhile, the pupils of coaches Ania, Kamila, Emilia and Alina, and coaches Michał and Ludwik, took part in the “Eagle Eye” archery tournament. The evening passed under the sign of a shared disco.
Day III: Water arena, Janek’s birthday and zipline
The weather was good on Tuesday, so in the morning we combined training with relaxing by the water – the groups used the water arena and the beach supervised by a lifeguard. That day, Janek celebrated his 9th birthday, and the entire camp sang him loud birthday wishes. In the afternoon, the first groups set off for quad biking, the zipline and the climbing wall. There was also time to visit the shop for ice cream and play a round of mini golf. In the evening, we gathered to cheer together.
Day IV: Inflatable tent, go-karts and sports games
Due to the cloudy morning, we spent the first hours under cover, enjoying inflatable attractions in the tent, badminton, mini golf and team games. There was also regular Taekwon-do training. In the afternoon, more groups took part in zipline rides and go-karting, while the rest of the camp spent time on recreational activities. In the evening, we cheered together again, while those interested played board and party games.
Day V: Water fun, archery and Just Dance
The sun shone all day on Thursday. The water playground, beach and ice cream were the most popular attractions. After mat training, some groups went go-karting and ziplining, while the others played football, shot bows and played on the playground. We ended the day with a group activity featuring Just Dance.
Day VI: Colour festival, cleanliness competition and the grand finale
On the penultimate day of camp, more groups tried archery, kayaking and pedal boating. In the afternoon, we announced the results of the camp room-cleanliness competition, presenting the winners with sweet prizes. The highlight of the day was the Holi colour festival before dinner, which ended with everyone jumping into the water together. After dinner, the final training session took place, followed by time to pack suitcases before Saturday’s departure.
On behalf of the entire coaching and educational staff, thank you for your trust and the wonderful atmosphere. The next edition of the camp in Borek will take place during the second week of the winter holidays. See you there!
