35 medals at the Polish Open Cup!

On 18 November in Opole, 43 KCT competitors represented our club during this year’s largest Taekwon-do sporting event, the Polish Open Cup. They won 35 medals counted towards the overall competition standings, in which we ultimately took 7th place.

For the Polish Taekwon-do Union Sports Association, these were the biggest competition of the year. A total of 570 competitors from 31 clubs and federations representing Poland, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, South Korea and Moldova took part.

Krakowskie Centrum Taekwon-do fielded a very large representation of 43 competitors and 5 judges. Although some favourites were absent, their successors rose to the occasion. The following athletes stood on the highest steps of the podium: Maja Rachwał, Oliwia Lisowska, Szymon Dudek, Mikołaj Chrząszcz, Gabriela Kowalska, Andrzej Walocha and Dariusz Pazdan twice. In the non-ranking veterans’ sparring competition, Maciej Stupak stood on the highest step of the podium.
