3rd place in the overall classification of the Polish Championships
On the weekend of 13–14 April, the Polish Taekwon-do Championships took place in Częstochowa. Forty-nine people went to represent our club, winning 33 medals, including 11 gold medals. This year, we achieved 3rd place in the overall classification of the competition, which is a great accomplishment. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this—medal winners, coaches and parents.
The first day of the competition was entirely devoted to the contests for children and younger juniors. Oliwia Lisowska from the children’s group was the only one to win 2 medals—bronze in speed breaking and special techniques. In the younger junior category, Amelia Szczypczyk, Zofia Zapolska and Jan Bosowski each won 2 medals. In total, we won 19 medals on the first day.
On the second day, cadets, juniors and seniors competed for a place on the podium. Michał Klimek stood on the podium twice in the cadet category. Szymon Grzebyk brought home 3 medals from this year’s championships—2 gold and 1 silver. As for the seniors, Karolina Czech, Adam Zięba and Dariusz Pazdan—coaches at our club—were unrivalled, winning 2 gold medals each. On Sunday, we returned with 14 medals.
