Borek Sports Camp – it really was a hub of ACTIVE recreation!
Over 80 participants took part in this year’s edition of the sports camp, which was held for the second time at the “Borek” Active Recreation Centre near Bochnia. Every day was packed with attractions—see for yourselves!
Our participants were divided into seven educational groups, supervised by eight instructors. Training sessions and trips to the swimming area were a regular part of each day. In addition, almost every day we took part in activities organized by the centre: kayaking, a climbing wall, go-karts, archery and much, much more.
During the camp, we celebrated a probably record number of birthdays. In just seven days, we sang “Sto lat!” for five birthday celebrants. During their free time, each educational group made use of the centre’s extensive facilities independently. We had access to a mini zoo, mini golf, a large playground and sports fields. There was also a trip to the shop, which, due to the distance, took place only once. Fortunately, there was an ice-cream shop on the complex grounds, and souvenirs could be purchased next to the reception, so there was somewhere to spend the pocket money from the envelopes given by parents.
The time after dinner was also packed with activities: we took part in discos, watched a film, organized a colour festival, and on the last evening had a bonfire with sausage roasting. It is worth adding that no injury occurred during the entire stay and no one had to visit the hospital, while we passed the sanitary inspection without any objections!
Next year, we plan to return to Borek and have just as great a time as during the last two editions.
