How wonderful it was in Zubrzyca
We came back happy! This year’s edition of the Family Sports Holiday was the best so far. Although the weather was not particularly kind, the excellent facilities of Orawski Dwór and the superbly planned daily schedule made this camp exceptional.
This was already our second visit to Zubrzyca Górna. What Orawski Dwór offers its guests was the reason for choosing it. The rooms meet a high hotel standard, and their varied layouts meant that every family could feel comfortable. The building has its own valuable nooks and crannies: a gym and training room, reading corners, a TV room, a mini ball pit, a playroom for little ones, a bowling alley, and tables for table tennis, air hockey and billiards.
The SPA was particularly popular. We could use the large swimming pool and the paddling pool with a slide as much as we wanted. There were also 2 saunas and a jacuzzi on site. An additional feature, but one especially appreciated by the female members of the camp, was the massage room.
Thanks to this, we were able to function extremely efficiently. The families were divided into 3 age groups: Małe Smoki, meaning preschoolers; big dragons, meaning independent children; and old dragons, meaning parents and guardians.
For the younger children, we organized indoor and outdoor training sessions, educational activities during which the children learned to tell the time and tie their shoes, mini-disco, reading and watching cartoons, as well as sports competitions. The older children also had swimming lessons organized in the pool.
The parents trained as well. Every day, a training session was held under the shelter, where the old dragons lifted weights, hit punching bags and boxed. Aqua fitness was also available for those who were ambitious. Later in the evenings, there were also activities and integration events for adults.
Taking advantage of a break in the weather, the whole group visited Wypasiona Dolina. The youngest first took over the mini rope park and then the boats. The older ones tackled the higher climbing and zip-line courses, where they successfully battled trembling muscles and their fear of heights.
The excellent food must not be overlooked either. Breakfast in the form of a buffet was served from 8 to 10 in the morning, and the choice of food and drinks was enormous. Lunch was truly restaurant-quality. Dinner also consisted of a wide selection of cold cuts, salads and hot dishes.
There is a strong possibility that we will go to Zubrzyca again next year. Then we will be able to enjoy further attractions, including outdoor swimming pools, a jacuzzi and a salt graduation tower.
