Interclub Sparring in Krakow – Event Report
On Saturday, 27 September 2025, another edition of interclub sparring matches took place at the Com Com Zone sports hall in Nowa Huta, featuring taekwon-do and kickboxing athletes. It was an excellent opportunity to check their form before the upcoming tournaments.
Participants and Organization
The sparring matches were attended by: KCT, Krakowska Akademia Taekwon-do, Klub Sportowy Orientr, Klub Striker. On six mats, both the youngest and experienced athletes competed, including medalists of the Polish, European and World Championships. The athletes were divided into subgroups according to weight and level of advancement, ensuring that everyone had suitable sparring partners.
Sparring Schedule
The event schedule was as follows:
- 10:00–11:30 – children, younger youth, younger cadets,
- 11:30–14:30 – older cadets, juniors, seniors.
The first hour in each age group was dedicated to pointfighting, followed by bouts in the lightcontact and kicklight formats. Rounds lasted 2 minutes, and the athletes refereed their own matches, allowing everyone to have as many bouts as they needed.
