KCT at Korean Day at the Manggha Museum.
On October 25, Korean Day was held at the Manggha Museum. Krakowskie Centrum Taekwon-do was a partner of the event. A thirteen-member team led by coach Mikołaj Kotowicz prepared spectacular taekwondo demonstrations and workshops for children and teenagers. Visitors could see combinations of various kicking techniques, patterns, elements of sport fighting, and the breaking of boards and concrete blocks.
Three 20-minute workshop sessions were held. The workshops were adapted to the age and abilities of the participants: the older group (ages 9–13), the group of children aged 6–8, and the youngest participants aged 3–5.
Traditionally, the training began with a bow of greeting, a dynamic warm-up, and kicking technique exercises. Every child could try their hand, kick pads and paddles, and learn self-defense techniques. There were also games and activities incorporating taekwondo elements for the youngest participants. Fun and much joy accompanied the children and instructors throughout.
More than 30 people took part in the workshops in total. The classes were conducted under the supervision of the best coaches and athletes of Krakowskie Centrum Taekwon-do.
On this occasion, origami and calligraphy workshops and a hanbok-wearing demonstration were also held. Participants could try Korean cuisine. The day was a good opportunity to learn about Korean culture.
