Over 250 competitors at the 3rd Krakow Cup

Over 250 competitors at the 3rd Krakow Cup

Last Saturday, 18 May, our club organised the Krakow Cup for the third time. Over 250 competitors from 6 clubs, along with around 40 judges and assistants, took part. It was a competition for all taekwon-do enthusiasts, from Małe Smoki to seniors.

The competition began at 9:00, when Małe Smoki started arriving at Ks Orzeł Hall with their parents. We prepared an obstacle course, speed-kicking drills and soft-stick sparring for them (for those born in 2010–2013). The events were divided into two age groups, 3–4 and 5–6 years old, and into boys and girls. We are extremely pleased that over 80 preschoolers decided to take part in this event. Many thanks to the parents who devote their time to developing their children’s passion.

Later, it was time for the children’s events. They competed in 4 events: traditional patterns, special techniques, speed techniques and soft-stick sparring. Next came the younger cadets, who competed in the same events as the children, with one exception. They could choose between semi-contact and soft-stick sparring. It is worth mentioning that medals were very hard to win in both groups; the level was high. Cadets and seniors competed for a place on the podium in the following categories: traditional patterns, special techniques, semi-contact and light-contact.

Congratulations to all medalists and participants. Thank you to the competitors, judges, assistants and parents.

See you next year!
