Sports day camp in Nowa Huta – report
From 20–24 January 2025, a sports day camp took place at our Dojang in Nowa Huta, attended by 32 children. Every day provided the children with sporting challenges and opportunities for shared fun and learning.
Sport, learning and lots of fun!
The foundation of every day was taekwon-do training, which proved immensely popular. The children passionately practised kicks, patterns and self-defence techniques, learning not only physical fitness but also principles such as respect, concentration and perseverance.
Of course, there was also time for other attractions. In the middle of the week, the children had the opportunity to take part in LEGO Brics workshops.
Water fun, cinema and scientific discoveries
Our day camp was full of trips. The visit to the water park was one of the biggest hits – the children were delighted by the slides, pools and the opportunity to enjoy water activities together. The cinema, with its exciting big-screen experience, provided a moment of relaxation after intensive training.
On Thursday, we went to Hala Centralna, where sporting challenges awaited us. Bowling, air hockey and simulators provided plenty of laughter and healthy competition, which ended in a friendly draw – everyone was a winner!
To conclude the day camp, we visited the Małopolskie Centrum Nauki Cogiteon. This extraordinary place, full of interactive exhibitions and scientific experiments, delighted all the children. Everyone could try their hand at various experiments and discover the fascinating world of science.
