Winter holiday and sports camp in Zawoja – read the report!

From 25 January to 1 February 2025, a winter sports camp was held in picturesque Zawoja, attracting entire families as well as children and teenagers travelling independently. Everyone had the opportunity to improve their taekwon-do and kickboxing skills, as well as learn to ski or snowboard.

Arrival and accommodation

We set out from Krakow on Saturday, 25 January, at 11:00. After several hours of travel, we arrived at the “Jędruś” Holiday Centre in Zawoja-Składy. The centre met our expectations, offering comfortable accommodation in rooms for 2–5 people with bathrooms. We also had a sauna, gym, salt graduation tower and billiards at our disposal.

Sports and recreational activities

Every day of the camp was full of sporting challenges and attractions. Taekwon-do and kickboxing training sessions took place in perfectly prepared conditions under the supervision of our experienced coaches. Participants who chose to learn to ski or snowboard could choose from nearby slopes:

Wojtek ski lift – ideal for beginners, with runs 150 m and 410 m long.
Mosorny Groń Station – for more advanced skiers, with a challenging 1420 m long run.

Additionally, trips to the ice rink and a swimming pool were organised, providing a great change from the daily training sessions.

Integration and fun

There was also plenty of time for rest and shared activities. In the evenings, animations, games and film screenings were organised. One of the most eagerly awaited moments of the camp was the bonfire, during which we could spend time together singing and roasting sausages.

Conclusion and return

The week in Zawoja passed incredibly quickly. After intense days full of sport and fun, we set off on our return journey on Saturday, 1 February. We would like to thank all participants – children and parents – for taking part in our camp. See you at the summer camps!
