XXI St. Nicholas Taekwon-do Tournament – results
On 7 December 2025, the 21st edition of the St. Nicholas Taekwon-do Tournament took place at the Com-Com Zone Nowa Huta sports hall – an event that has brought together the youngest martial arts competitors and their families for years.
Competition proceedings
From early morning, the youngest heroes of the tournament – Małe Smoki – appeared on the mat. For many of them, it was their first contact with competition, their first time completing the obstacle course to the loud cheers of their parents, their first victories and… their first tears, which quickly disappeared thanks to the warm support of the coaches. Each subsequent group – children and younger juniors – brought a new wave of sporting energy, competing in patterns, special techniques, speed-breaking techniques, and soft-stick and semi-contact sparring.
The festive atmosphere was in the air. This was all thanks to the St. Nicholas fair, which turned the hall into a place full of laughter and fun. The bouncy castle, photo booth, slides, face painting and colourful balloons meant that the sporting excitement mingled with the carefree joy of childhood. Families could relax with snacks, while the youngest participants could recharge their energy before their next events.
At the end of the tournament, every competitor received a well-deserved medal – some for podium finishes, others for courage and a great attitude in their first or another competition. The sight of children proudly presenting their trophies was the most beautiful summary of the entire day.
We would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts everyone who helped organise the event – our irreplaceable assistants, the engaged parents and the coaches who devoted their Sunday to supporting the young athletes. Your presence, energy and kindness created an atmosphere that cannot be described. Congratulations to all competitors – each and every one – for taking part, showing courage and displaying the sporting spirit so beautifully on the mat.
