Złoty Potok 2019 – Family Sports Holiday

This year, we ended our holiday in Złoty Potok together with small, big and grown-up (parents) dragons. We spent seven days training taekwon-do, swimming in the pool and dancing at the mini-disco.

We stayed at Hotel Kmicic Belvedere & Spa. There were trees, forests and meadows all around, where, when the sun was shining, we held training sessions and team games for children and parents. Buffet breakfasts provided us with energy for the whole day full of experiences.

 

Every day, Coach Darek improved the swimming skills of the small and big dragons; when the pool classes came to an end, the parents had time to relax in the water. During training, the children practised and recalled the secrets of taekwon-do so that they could confidently enter the new training season. In addition, Coach Ludwik and the advanced group prepared a taekwon-do demonstration, which was presented at the autumn festival in Kurdwanów.

 

Coach Angelika took care of the artistic activities at the camp. There was salt dough, painting on milk and oil, painting with paints using fingers and sponges, and drawing with chalk on coloured sheets of paper. After training, it was an ideal way to rest the body while training the imagination at the same time. Coach Kamila prepared a quiz show about taekwon-do, and Coach Magda a sword fight (made from balloons). There was no time for boredom.

 

Two trips took place during the camp. On the first day, we went on a Jurassic tram ride around the area of Złoty Potok. We learned what life in this town had looked like in the past. We also managed to travel to nearby Ogrodzieniec, where we visited a castle built in 1370. It is one of the most beautiful Polish castles. Its presence in cultural works created by musicians and directors alike may testify to this, including the heavy metal band Iron Maiden, the disco polo band Systematic and Andrzej Wajda.

 

A camp like this is an ideal solution at the end of the holiday. A combination of activity and relaxation, a little bit of everything. Just right to prepare for the excitement of the new school year.
