Zubrzyca Górna 2017
Zubrzyca Górna 2017
A 100% holiday – that is how the last week of the summer holidays can be described. This year’s edition of the Family Sports Holiday took place in Zubrzyca Górna.
It was a wonderful week. We stayed at the Orawski Dwór guesthouse in Zubrzyca Górna. The surroundings were beautiful – from one set of windows we could see the Tatra Mountains, and from the other the Babia Góra range. Silence, open space and nature all around.
Our resort was an attraction in itself for everyone. The children quickly explored every nook and cranny, discovering the ball pit, the playroom for toddlers, the bowling alley, table tennis and darts tables. When their parents allowed them to go outside, they immediately began exploring the playground, sports field and trampoline.
The adults, meanwhile, appreciated the wireless internet, reading corner with a library, mini-gym and billiards. On the very first day, they took their children to the swimming pool and jacuzzi, and then went to the sauna without the children. From the first day, registration also opened for the hotel SPA’s wide range of treatments. The most popular was the hot stone full-body massage.
The children spent a lot of time together. The instructors led two taekwon-do training sessions a day for them, as well as swimming lessons. There were also themed activities – logic games, mini-disco, bedtime story reading for the younger children and film screenings for the older ones.
The stay programme was enriched with two excursions. As part of the first, we went to Wypasiona Dolina to enjoy the ropes course, inflatable attractions, boats and aqua zorbing. The second was a trip to the Open-Air Museum in Zubrzyca, where the campers could travel back in time and see what life in Orawa looked like several hundred years ago.
The adult participants trained every day – the activities included crossfit with taekwon-do elements. In the evenings, when the children had gone to bed, they met for evening entertainment, taking part in competitions and enjoying board games.
The family holiday was a perfect hit! Everyone could relax – both parents and children. At the same time, everyone had a chance to build up their physical fitness and gather strength for the new school year.
